Kulachi to Karachi
Kulachi’s cultural heritage has been shaped in to modern
Karachi in a period of two centuries. It was a small fishermen’s village that
became a major economical centre of the region, attracted the population in
majority. Modern Karachi is housed with multiethnic population with variety of
culture and traditions. It has become the city of lights, land of opportunities
and hub of national business activities. A city that never sleeps and a city
that attracts hundreds of immigrants of all categories and status each day from
around Pakistan, hovering over it to earn their healthy paid living.
Consequently, common city culture remained failed to be flourished because of
the residents’ belonging to various racial groups.
